Née à St-Siméon
le 20 avril 1949, j’y suis demeurée
jusqu’à l’âge de huit ans. J’ai dû
vivre à Montréal jusqu’à l’âge de 42.
Durant ces années et ce pendant quatre
ans, j’ai exploité une céramique où j’ai
commencé à expérimenter les couleurs par
le biais des glacis. J’ai en même temps
commencé à toucher la peinture à l’huile.
En 1999,
la vie me ramène dans Charlevoix,
plus particulièrement à Baie-St-Paul, pays des
artistes où je travaille présentement.
Le contact du milieu artistique
m’inspire à renouer avec cette forme
d’expression . J’ai expérimenté le
fusain, le pastel, l’huile, l’aquarelle
et l’acrylique. Cependant je demeure
toujours attachée à mon médium préféré
qui est l’huile.
Je
considère la peinture comme un moyen
d’évasion et de réalisation de soi. J'expose
actuellement à notre centre d'art de
Baie-St-Paul. Mes sujets
préférés sont les scènes qui
représentent la nature, les grands
espaces et la lumière.

I was born in St-Siméon on April 20
1949, and lived there until I was 8
years old. Then I had to live in
Montreal until the age of 42. During
this time and for four years, I’ve
worked on ceramic, where I learned to
use colours by means of glacis. During
the same time, I’ve also tried some oil
painting.
In 1999, my life took me back to
Charlevoix, more particularly to Baie-St-Paul,
an artist country, and where I still
work to this day. The contact I have
with the artistic scene encourages me to
keep expressing myself in art. I’ve
experimented charcoal, oil, watercolors
and acrylic painting. Although I mostly
stick with my preferred medium, oil
painting.
I consider painting to be a way of
escapism and self-realisation. My works
are currently on exhibit at the Art
Center in Baie-St-Paul. My preferred
subjects are those that are about
nature, wide open spaces and light.
